GOLD Terms of Service

Article 1: Definitions

Unless otherwise specified in this article or elsewhere in the GOLD Terms of Service ("GOLD TOS"), terms used in the GOLD TOS are defined according to the CELSYS TOS (https://www.celsys.com/en/information/celsys_terms/).

  • (1)GOLD (G)
    Indicates points given to CLIP STUDIO account users by CELSYS or third parties designated by CELSYS according to conditions prescribed by CELSYS, or purchased by CLIP STUDIO account users. CLIP STUDIO account users can use their GOLD balance in place of money to purchase products on this website or a subscription to this service.
  • (2)GOLD Wallet
    Indicates the wallet on page of CLIP STUDIO account which displays GOLD received from CELSYS and third parties designated by CELSYS, GOLD purchased by the user, used GOLD, remaining GOLD and other necessary information on the user's GOLD. CLIP STUDIO account users can check their GOLD Wallet after receiving, purchasing or using GOLD to check that there are no errors.
  • (3)Autocharge
    A method for purchasing GOLD in which CLIP STUDIO account users can register credit card information in their name and indicate their intent to use it according to a procedure prescribed by CELSYS. If the user is attempting to purchase a product on this website or a subscription to this service and does not have enough GOLD to do so, Autocharge automatically purchases the minimum number of 500 GOLD units required for the purchase. In some cases, the transaction may not be completed with the registered credit card, and the product or subscription to this service cannot be purchased.

Article 2: Acquisition, etc. of GOLD

  1. GOLD can be purchased in units stipulated separately by CELSYS, or in monetary amounts. The purchasing methods shall be stipulated separately by CELSYS.
  2. GOLD can be given to users through services and campaigns by CELSYS or third parties designated by CELSYS.
  3. The maximum amount of GOLD that can be purchased or kept in the GOLD Wallet is 100,000 GOLD. The maximum GOLD that can be used in one month is 200,000 GOLD. The same restrictions on the GOLD balance applies to GOLD received from CELSYS and third parties designated by CELSYS.

Article 3: Use of GOLD

  1. CLIP STUDIO account users shall agree to the GOLD TOS before using GOLD, and use GOLD according to the stipulations of the GOLD TOS. In the event of a contradiction between the GOLD TOS and the CELSYS TOS or other terms, the GOLD TOS shall be prioritized for matters concerning GOLD.
  2. CLIP STUDIO account users are solely responsible for the use and management of their GOLD, all of their actions concerning GOLD and all of the outcomes of those actions.
  3. CLIP STUDIO account users can use their GOLD by logging in to this site.
  4. Transactions cannot be completed if the GOLD balance in the user's GOLD Wallet is not sufficient to purchase the product or subscribe to this service, unless the user uses Autocharge to enable such transactions to be completed.
  5. In the event of a defect or other issue with a product or subscription to this service purchased using GOLD, the matter shall be handled according to the relevant terms.

Article 4: Validity Period, etc. of GOLD

  1. The validity period of GOLD shall last until the last day of the month containing the date on which the CLIP STUDIO account user purchased the GOLD one year after the purchase. Any GOLD not used by this date will automatically be erased.
  2. GOLD will be used in order of expiration date, starting with the earliest date.
  3. If the CLIP STUDIO account user loses their member status due to deletion of their account or any other reason, all GOLD held by the user will be erased.

Article 5: Limitations

  1. Unless otherwise stipulated by the GOLD TOS or other terms, CLIP STUDIO account users cannot cancel or change transactions they have made using GOLD for any reason.
  2. CLIP STUDIO account users cannot cancel acquisitions, etc. of GOLD, nor receive a refund or convert the GOLD to cash.
  3. GOLD cannot be reissued unless otherwise stipulated by the GOLD TOS.
  4. GOLD cannot under any circumstances be converted to CLIPPY or other points issued by CELSYS or a third party designated by CELSYS.
  5. CELSYS will not provide any GOLD refunds, etc. unless the handling of GOLD is completely stopped due to a change in economic circumstances, amendment or abolition of a law or other circumstances faced by CELSYS.
  6. CLIP STUDIO account users who are below 20 years of age must receive the consent of a parent, guardian or other legal representative such as a caregiver before purchasing and using GOLD.

Article 6: Prohibited Actions

CLIP STUDIO account users must not engage in behavior described in the items below, behavior suspected to fit into those categories, behavior equivalent to the items below or behavior that aids the behavior described below when using GOLD or engaging in related activities.

  • (1)Allowing other CLIP STUDIO account users to use the GOLD, giving the GOLD to other CLIP STUDIO account users, providing the GOLD as collateral or other transfer or sale of GOLD by methods other than those stipulated in the GOLD TOS or other terms.
  • (2)Behavior that violates laws, ordinances, public order, standards of decency, the CELSYS TOS, the GOLD TOS or other terms.
  • (3)Use of GOLD for unauthorized or inappropriate purposes, or other purposes not intended by CELSYS.
  • (4)Behavior that impedes CELSYS's operation of GOLD.
  • (5)Acquisition or use of GOLD by CLIP STUDIO account users below 20 years of age without the consent of a parent, guardian or other legal representative such as a caregiver.
  • (6)Other activities deemed inappropriate by CELSYS.

Article 7: Termination of Use

In the event that a CLIP STUDIO account user engages in any of the following behaviors, or is judged by CELSYS to have done so, CELSYS may take measures without warning, such as banning the CLIP STUDIO account user from acquiring or using GOLD for a period of time prescribed by CELSYS or terminating the CLIP STUDIO account user's account. CELSYS accepts no responsibility for any damages caused to the CLIP STUDIO account user as a result of this.

  • (1)Engaging in the prohibited behaviors stipulated in Article 6 or other violations of the GOLD TOS.
  • (2)Registration for multiple accounts by the same user.

Article 8: Revocation, etc. of GOLD

  1. If a CLIP STUDIO account user is judged by CELSYS to have acquired GOLD by unauthorized or inappropriate means or it is judged that the CLIP STUDIO account user should not be given GOLD, CELSYS may take measures without warning, such as canceling GOLD given to the CLIP STUDIO account user, banning the CLIP STUDIO account user from acquiring new GOLD or using any of their current unused GOLD or terminating their account. CELSYS accepts no responsibility for damages caused to the CLIP STUDIO account user as a result of application of this article.
  2. If a CLIP STUDIO account user's account is terminated according to Paragraph 1, the CELSYS TOS, the GOLD TOS or other terms, all of the CLIP STUDIO account user's GOLD will be erased. CLIP STUDIO account users shall accept that they may lose all of their GOLD even if their account is not terminated according to Paragraph 1.
  3. If a CLIP STUDIO account user knowingly accepts GOLD from a CLIP STUDIO account user judged by CELSYS to have acquired GOLD by unauthorized or inappropriate means or it is judged that the CLIP STUDIO account user should not be given GOLD, the terms of Paragraphs 1 and 2 shall be applied to that CLIP STUDIO account user.

Article 9: Disclaimer

  1. CELSYS may make changes to the operation of GOLD at its own discretion. CELSYS accepts no responsibility for any damages resulting from this.
  2. CELSYS may suspend or temporarily pause all or part of GOLD operations without warning due to extenuating circumstances such as the establishment, amendment or abolition of a relevant law. CELSYS accepts no responsibility for any damages resulting from this, except in cases of deliberate damage or gross negligence by CELSYS.
  3. CELSYS may terminate GOLD operations due to extenuating circumstances such as a change in economic circumstances. In this case, CELSYS shall give a prescribed amount of notice on this website before the termination.

Article 10: Limitations of Liability

Unless otherwise stipulated in the disclaimer, CELSYS shall compensate CLIP STUDIO account users who lose or experience damages to their GOLD through the fault of CELSYS, by reissuing the lost GOLD or replacing the damaged GOLD. CELSYS shall not be liable for any other compensation under any circumstances. Except in cases of deliberate damage or gross negligence by CELSYS.

Article 11: Changes to Terms, etc.

  1. CELSYS may change the GOLD TOS at its own discretion. The revised GOLD TOS shall be valid and applicable immediately after being displayed in this service. CLIP STUDIO account users shall agree to the revised GOLD TOS displayed in this service when using this service.
  2. CELSYS shall issue a notification of the main changes around 7 days before the revised GOLD TOS becomes valid by posting the information in these services. CLIP STUDIO account users shall also be notified by email. However, legally mandated changes may be made without prior warning. In such cases, the new TOS shall be displayed in these services after the change.
  3. CELSYS accepts no responsibility for any damages to users that occur as a result of changes to the GOLD TOS, except in cases of deliberate damage or gross negligence by CELSYS.
